I was at the zoo/museum with Ruth and the girls, walking around looking at exhibits of fossils and dinosaurs. The girls really wanted to go to both 'zoos,' because there was another one outside, across the street. We had been to this zoo late, yesterday, but today was Saturday and everything was jam-packed with people. I wanted to take the girls to see the dinosaur movie in the museum theater, but I could see that the wait like was filling the whole foyer to the theater. We walked toward the exit, past the swimming pool. People where holding onto a rail, single-file, going down the outside of a wall that led them down to the pool, waterslide-like. We got outside and could see the other zoo across the street, but like the museum, the entrance to the zoo was so packed that it spilled over into the crosswalk, essentially blocking both directions of traffic. We got in our truck to go, because we knew the zoo had a rear entrance. We drove down a side street, then turned right up a large hill. We went up and down a couple of hills, stopping at a park on the top of a hill that was the wrong place. We did this again, stopping at a parking-lot on the side of the highway that led to, again, the wrong place. I looked at the map and could see that we were parked at the crossroad of highway 109, and we needed to go 3 more roads down further, closer to where the highway 101 intersected back with the city.
